Book : 10.75"x11.75", 12 pages

Mathematical began with life-size gesture paintings of letterforms. The paintings were randomly cut to printer’s spreads and assembled into a book reflecting the pacing of a story’s style from Raymond Queneau’s Exercises in Style (one story written in 99 styles). The story’s text was introduced into the book: the design of the type had to mimic the textures and layout of the assembled printer’s spreads.
