My focus for the week was to determine a voice/point of view for the documentary. My research on Little Red Riding Hood made me aware of the fairy tale's variety over the centuries. In Little Red Riding Hood Uncloaked, Katherine Orenstein states: “The greatest power of the fairy tale may be that it shows us the spectrum of human possibility.” I took off from that point and created a script that wove the changes in LRRH and the Wolf across the spectrum. The above snapshot is for the tame portion of the documentary. This is the starting point for LRRH, and the ending point of the Wolf. LRRH is a good little girl. The Wolf is tamed and a house pet. |
