In this study, I was thinking about the original technology which credit crawls were created from, and still are to this day. (A piece of negative is printed out with the credits, feet long, then run through a machine to transpose it onto the film.) What if credits were to be more native to the digital technology? Pixels replacing pixels instead of the crawl of film. The flipping through the 26 letters is partially an offshot of word play, but also related to the ideas of collaboration. The work of one person enables another's work and so on. |
